Jake Perper created Bearsbacker.com, a Chicago Bears Blog in 2008 when he was a junior in high school. Since the launch of his site he has gone on to improve his skills as a writer by working for the Tampa Tribune (freelancer), the Tampa Bay Storm (team insider), Bleacher Report (contributor), DeBartolo Sports (writer) and the University of Tampa Spartans (writer). 

He has landed more than 25 interviews on Bears Backer including former Bears players Gale Sayers, Otis Wilson, and Steve McMichael and current Bears Matt Forte, Lance Briggs, Charles "Peanut" Tillman, Israel Idonije, Nick Roach and more.

Currently a sports management major at the University of Tampa, Jake is looking forward to his venture into the real world.
